The UWEC Men's Hockey Club will be entering it's third year of competition in the next couple months, and we are proud to introduce the team's first ever head coach Mr. Don Loew! Coach Loew is going to be bringing a lot of good things to the table for the Blugolds this year. Including a coaching philosophy that will increase our team's intensity and competitiveness. Coach Loew has previously had two stints as the head coach for the McDonell High School Varsity program, and helped re-build that program from the bottom up and get them into their current co-op with Regis High School here in Eau Claire. We are very excited to have Coach Loew and his Assistant Coach Dave Kelly join us this season in what is sure to be our best year yet!
For those incoming players that are looking to get more information on how to join the team, we are having our team's first informational meeting on Thursday, September 13th in the Menomoniee Room in the new Davies Center on campus. Both new and returning players should attend this meeting where we will go over all the aspects of what the team is, what is expected from it's members, introduce you to Coach Loew, and answer any questions you may have. Also be sure to check us out at the Blugold Organization Bash on Wednesday, September 12th in the new Davies Center. This is a chance to meet some of the players from last year and get a couple questions in before the first meeting.
